Rescue: Trixie
Sun, May 10, 2009
Greetings all,
Many of these things tend to be tall tales to pull at your heart strings and perhaps even swindle you out of some money, but this is not one of those things. Please read the note sent to me by a dear friend below:
This is very real and very true. The guy has an appt scheduled for next week – if he can’t find a home for her by end of the day on Tuesday (May 12) – he’s going to put her down — all because his male dogs don’t like her… but apparently SHE gets along well with other dogs, is trained, wonderful and she is absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!! And she’s only 5.
Danielle is a good friend of mine – she works with him. You can email her at danielle.fontaine@intertek.com and copy me if you want. If you can’t get to her, it looks like you can contact Mike directly at: Michael M. Houston, Senior EMC Project Engineer, Phone:978-635-8628
The dog is in Massachusetts and I can certainly help in picking up/delivering if need be… let’s save this gorgeous girl! Pictures are attached. If I didn’t have 4 already, I’d take her. I’m copying some of my way out of state dog loving friends too… just in case you know of anyone!
Jindo (Korean hunting breed)
Approximately 5 yr old, spayed, all shots, about 30 lb (probably closer to 25)
White, short hair
Very friendly, gets along will with the male dogs in our house (not so well with females)
Don’t know about children but her disposition is generally extroverted so she’s been good with whomever has visited the house.
Behaves rather well (heel, sit stay, etc…)

Oh, I *really* hope she finds a home by Tuesday! Even if she doesn’t, I hope he changes his mind and takes her to a no-kill shelter or something. If I lived up there I’d take her in a heartbeat!

I sent the info to a lady I know who runs a shelter in Falmouth. Maybe they can post her info. I’ll pass along the info. This is horrible. I bet if he just put posters up he’d find them homes. Heck – we had someone put up posters for two American Staffordshires last month and THEY have homes (I thought it would be harder to place them because people are weird about that breed). She’s such a pretty dog!

Any update on Trixie? I put the word out to a bunch of friends and am hoping someone got to take her home. I would have if I could have a dog at my place – she looks so sweet!

Thanks for checking in, ladies! I believe Trixie is en-route to a daycare/boarding in Easton, MA called Classie Canines. I will update when all is confirmed!
